Treehouse Cannabis Company was founded by Byron Malcom and is based in Midcoast Maine. While searching for clean and safe hemp products for himself and his family, Byron discovered that the combination of affordability and transparency were more of a unicorn than a reality. We sat down with him to learn about his chemical and solvent-free process and what makes Treehouse the next big thing in the Maine Recreational Cannabis market.
What is your favorite Treehouse product to use at home?
BM: Funny Honey – it always tastes great and works for any mood. It was the first cannabis product I created years ago so I have a soft spot for it. The mints and 1:1 tincture are close runners up though.
What makes Treehouse products unique?
BM: We strive to constantly push into uncharted territories to create unique products and separate ourselves within the recreational market in Maine. All of our products start with a solventless ice water extraction conducted in house and then we move the beneficial compounds from the plant into a high quality MCT oil. This infused MCT oil is the basis for our products to create true full spectrum whole plant edibles to help generate the best experience possible. Minimal processing absent of any chemicals or solvents combined with natural ingredients is important to us. We are conscious about what we put into our bodies and we feel strongly about creating products that are not detrimental to our health but instead can help support our health.
Do you have anything exciting on the horizon for 2023?
BM: Yes, we have lots of ideas in the works. To start with we have a sativa line of our current products that will be released later this winter. We are also working on expanding all of our product lines, including incorporating more CBD to THC ratios, as well as working on a new product we are very excited about we hope to release later this year.
